MEET LAUREN
Lauren Funchion is an award-winning licensed cosmetologist, educator & entrepreneur who is passionate about so many things in her career.
Her career has led her to amazing things such as NYFW & NY Bridal fashion week, Styled Salon shoots, published in multiple magazines including 614 magazine + the New York Times. As well as being lead stylist on many education teams. Hair is truly her passion & she wouldn't have it any other way.
Career History
Lauren started the hair game early in her life when she would go with her mother to the salon she worked at in Bowling Green. She would hang out and watch stylists work all day, & when she got bored she would pretend to do hair & makeup for "Celebrities".
When she became older (middle school & high school),
she used her mothers salon in their family home basement to style friends & families hair for homecoming & proms! Or if she felt like she just needed to get her hands on some hair! She's been licensed for 10 years, but like most children of hair dressers, she's been doing hair for 20 years for fun!
As the founder of Beauty with Funchion in 2017, she has created multiple careers into her dream. As a stylist behind the chair for over 10 years & also founder of the online beauty coaching platform + BWF hair salon she started. In both businesses, Lauren pursues her mission of developing beauty and wellness for the whole person. Not just looking at things on the outside, but taking notice of how we feel on the inside as well. A healthy inside will show outwards becoming a more nourished self.
When Lauren is not behind the chair helping enhance her clients’ inner beauty, she can be found teaching, conducting one -on- one trainings, or classes that are custom-designed for clients and service professionals.
Lauren is known country wide as a Schwarzkopf Professional certified Senior ASK Expert. She loves being a traveling Independent Hair Educator for the iconic global hair brand, Schwarzkopf Professional. reaching other like-minded stylists.
She helps launch new product lines, along with teaching the latest innovations in coloring + styling techniques for other stylists, salons, & key accounts in the industry.
Her passion for hair education runs deep which pushes her to continue her own learning and education to bring you the best. Whether it be how-to's with styling techniques or breaking down product knowledge so you know you have the right items for yourself. Through and through she strives to help educate others so they're on their top game.
In 2021, Lauren founded Beauty with Funchion Quiz + Consults. For many years, Lauren served high end salon clients before establishing her own salon. In her Beauty with Funchion Consultations, she fulfills the need to provide beauty consulting services online where they reach more people. Because not every beauty service needs to be in-person. Lauren’s goal as a consultant is to remove barriers and empower individuals to lead their beauty + wellness routines comfortably from home . Her goal is to teach & educate clients on what products they need + styling techniques to use at home. Helping them feel more confidant & nourished from home or wherever they may be.
